【摘要】:Thevolumeofadropofanaqueousphaseformedattheendofaverticalcapillarytubeismeasuredwhenitdetachesfromthetubeincontactwiththeorganicphase.Theinterfacialtensionbetweentwoliquidphasesisobtainedbybalancingtheweightofthedropwiththeinterfacialtensionforcesupportingitandapplyingacorrectionfactor.Thentheinterfacialtensioniscalculatedfromthevolumeofthefallingdrop,theoutercapillaryradius,thedensitydifferencebetweenthetwoliquidphasesandtheaccelerationduetogravity.
