【摘要】:Thepurposeofthealternatingcurrentfieldmeasurementmethodistoevaluateweldsforsurfacebreakingdiscontinuitiessuchasfabricationandfatiguecracks.Theexaminationresultsmaythenbeusedbyqualifiedorganizationstoassessweldservicelifeorotherengineeringcharacteristics(beyondthescopeofthispractice).Thispracticeisnotintendedfortheexaminationofweldsfornon-surfacebreakingdiscontinuities.1.1Thispracticedescribesprocedurestobefollowedduringalternatingcurrentfieldmeasurementexaminationofweldsforbaselineandservice-inducedsurfacebreakingdiscontinuities.1.2Thispracticeisintendedforuseonweldsinanymetallicmaterial.1.3Thispracticedoesnotestablishweldacceptancecriteria.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmightnotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
